14.04.2004- Release Records on the case again! Months of negotiations have resulted in a virtual partnership between Release Records and the semi-frozen Musicnow Records, for the release of Noel Sanger and Dauby “My Prayer”.  Musicnow signed the track back in 2001, and it was featured on Noel’s Summerbreeze 2 CD in 2002, spurring worldwide interest in the track and its gorgeous, emotive vocal. Due before the end of the year, the plan at the moment is 2-part release featuring some enormous mixes and an updated mix by Noel himself. More details to follow!

09.04.2004- Release Records has signed “Trapped”! After getting accolades from top DJ’s for a year this driving track (the original mix of which appeared on Noel’s Summerbreeze 2 CD in 2003) has finally found a home at Release. It is also Noel’s vocal debut, and will feature remixes from Texas’ Stefan Anion. Anion is a newcomer whose lush progressive breaks sound caught the ear of the guys at Release and Noel was convinced on first listen. This will be a  solid package, and will hit store shelves sometime this Summer under the moniker “Noel Sanger pres. Bodhi Tree”. The original mix and unheard downtempo mix will be available for download at www.releaserecords.com.

02.04.2004 - Enation.org is an electronic music website which has covered Florida’s Underground dance scene for years. Its current webmaster, Dan D’Mantra has put together a fantastic idea to try and breathe new life into the Florida scene: A kickass tour featuring a few of florida’s favorite progressive music spinners. So the Enation (E stands for electronic, nothing else, or you wouldn’t be reading this here) Spring-Summer tour 2004 gets underway 10.04.2004 at club 5 in Jacksonville. Next stops include Tampa West Palm, Gainesville and Miami. Oh, by the way, the tour features Enation webmaster D’Mantra, Simons resident and longtime Florida fav Joe C. and some guy named Noel Sanger. The tour has been sponsored by Jagermeister and will include live visuals. For more Info, www.Enation.org

14.03.2004 - WMC has come and gone, and by all accounts this was one of the best ones yet. This year found Noel dropping timeless sets all over South Beach, including Jade Lounge and Maze. WMC this seemed almost to mark a new beginning in dance music- the transformation complete, underground dance is really underground again. Everyone seemed to have an awareness and acceptance of the new state of affairs, in sharp contrast to the previous two years. Noel spoke enthusiastically of his time in Miami and says he had his best party experience (on the dancefloor) in years at a dark, tiny, and free Cafeteria afterhours party featuring Steve Lawler and DJ Three.

27.02.2004 - THE SITE IS FINALLY UP!
With 2004 now fully underway, a glance back at 2003 reveals quite a hectic and crazy year, marked by firsts and bests and general goodness. Since Noel has been keeping a pretty low profile since last summer’s Sony PS2 tour, this first news-page update will focus on these last few month’s goings-on. It’s been anything but quiet ‘round here…

AN AWESOME 2003, MORE IN 2004!
First off, Noel had a landmark year behind the decks and in the shops. From opening for Oakenfold at WMC in Miami last march, to the 14 city Sony Playstation 2 Dual Play tour opening for Tiesto; from co-headlining Tokyo’s biggest, baddest venue with Rabbit In The Moon, to a first visit to South America and various US gigs throughout, 2003 exceeded all expectations. Not to mention having tracks and mixes released on labels like Perfecto, Teknology, Acetate Ltd, Nettwerk and Release. 2004 promises to be even better with more music, plus return trips to the far east, South America and a series of first-ever dates in Europe. Check the schedule page for up to date tour information. And check our Audio page for exclusive DJ sets and links to archived radio mixshow appearances…

ELECTROFLY DEAL;
GUITARS, VOCALS, RELEASES, MORE
On the production front, Noel has just signed a three single deal with UK breaks label-of-the-moment, Electrofly. The first single, due out for the beginning of summer, will be the techy breaks monster “Designs” already getting some major dance floor support from the few top deck-nicians who have been lucky enough to receive a cdr. Remixes TBA, so stay tuned!

As you read this, Noel is putting the finishing touches the project that has occupied most of his time for the last 6 months: A live rock/electronic project, recorded with a full 5 piece band in the multi-million dollar recording complex of Fullsail in Orlando, FL. The project features the vocals and songwriting of Noel’s wife, Dauby, who has worked on numerous projects over the last several years with producers from Johnny Vicious to Chris Fortier. Noel is collaborating on the songs, playing guitar, and producing the project… Check the Audio page for snippets-coming soon…

After featuring prominently on his critically lauded “Summerbreeze 2” comp last year, Noel’s vocal debut “Trapped”, now energetically retooled, appears to have found a label home. We’ll get you the details as they become available…

“Carry On”, Noel’s current breaks release, on Toronto’s Release Elements label, has been promoed and is awaiting full release. Remixed by Sultan and Tonedepth,  the Support has been wide ranging, from Oakenfold to Sasha, Digweed, Jon Lisle, Chris Fortier, and dozens more. It was yet another top ten for Noel on the Balance Record Pool chart and (for the original mix) it has received a stunning 6/5 rating from BigShot magazine reviewer Michael Scot who says “File Under: F***ing Brilliant!”

Also expect to see Noel’s long delayed Musicnow releases finally getting some air… the label’s future is uncertain, but arrangements are being made to get these stellar tracks out in 2004 with timely remixes: “My Prayer”, “Something in the Air”, “Kali Ma” (w/Markus Schulz rmx) and “Bardo Thotrol/Toward the One”…
